Publication Ethics

The statement of scientific code of ethics is a statement of the code of ethics of all parties involved in the publication process of this scientific journal, namely managers, editors, peer reviewers, and authors/writers. This statement of the code of ethics for scientific publication is based on the Regulation of the Head of LIPI Number 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publication, which in essence this Code of Ethics for Scientific Publication upholds three ethical values ​​in publication, namely (i) Neutrality, which is free from conflicts of interest in managing publications; (ii) Justice, which is granting authorship rights to those entitled as authors/writers; and (iii) Honesty, which is free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism (DF2P) in publication.

Please complete, sign and submit the Ethics Statement as part of your initial article submission. The Copyright Agreement must be submitted before the article can be published.

Journal Manager Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Ensure that those included in the list of authors/writers meet the criteria as authors/writers.
  2. Collectively responsible for the work and content of the article including methods, analysis, calculations, and details.
  3. Stating the origin of resources (including funding), both directly and indirectly.
  4. Explaining the limitations in the research
  5. Respond to comments made by peer reviewers in a professional and timely manner.
  6. Inform the editor if you wish to withdraw your paper.
  7. Make a statement that the written work submitted for publication is original, has never been published anywhere in any language, and is not in the process of being submitted to another publisher.

Editor's Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Bringing together the needs of readers and authors/writers,
  2. Striving to continuously improve the quality of publications,
  3. Implementing processes to ensure the quality of published written works,
  4. Prioritize freedom of opinion objectively,
  5. Maintaining the integrity of the author's academic track record,
  6. Providing corrections, clarifications, withdrawals and apologies when necessary,
  7. Responsible for the style and format of the written work, while the content and all statements in the written work are the responsibility of the author/writer,
  8. Actively soliciting the opinions of authors, readers, peer reviewers, and editorial board members to improve the quality of publications,
  9. Encourage journal assessments if there are findings,
  10. Supporting initiatives to reduce research and publication misconduct by requiring authors to attach an Ethics Clearance form approved by the Ethics Clearance Committee,
  11. Support initiatives to educate researchers about publication ethics,
  12. Reviewing the effects of published policies on the attitudes of authors/writers and peer reviewers and improving them to increase responsibility and reduce errors,
  13. Having an open mind to new opinions or other people's views that may conflict with your personal opinions,
  14. Do not defend your own, author's or third party's opinions which could result in an unobjective decision,
  15. Encourage authors/writers to improve their written work until it is worthy of publication.

Duties and Responsibilities of Bestari Partners

  1. Receive an assignment from the editor to review a written work and submit the results of the review to the editor, as material for determining the suitability of a written work for publication.
  2. Reviewers may not conduct reviews of written works in which they are involved, either directly or indirectly.
  3. Maintaining the author's privacy by not disseminating the results of corrections, suggestions and recommendations by providing criticism, suggestions, input and recommendations.
  4. Encourage authors/writers to make improvements to their written work
  5. Reviewing written work that has been revised according to predetermined standards.
  6. Written works are reviewed in a timely manner according to the style of the publication environment based on scientific principles (data collection methods, author legality, conclusions, etc.).
